Robert Irwin confirmed as the host for the 2026 Logie Awards
Robert Irwin has been confirmed as the host of the 2026 Logie Awards, to be held in Sydney this August.
The 22-year-old wildlife warrior and beloved Aussie personality admitted he can’t wait to be a part of the biggest night in Australian television, after growing up watching it.

“Hosting the TV WEEK Logie Awards is one of the most exciting things I’ve been asked to do,” Irwin said in a statement.
“Throughout my life, my goal has been to spread an important message not only through our work at Australia Zoo, but also on the screen.
“I grew up watching the Logies with my family, so this is certainly an honour. Australian television has given so much to so many people. To be part of the biggest night in Aussie TV is something I don’t take lightly. I cannot wait!”
Irwin will hit the stage on Sunday August 16 for the awards night.
It’s been a massive 12 months for Irwin, who walked away with the disco ball trophy after winning Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars last November.
In the months since it’s been non-stop for the wildlife conservationist who has been back to work at Australia Zoo, and also landed a gig hosting Dancing with the Stars The Next Pro.
His recent success has made him one of the most in demand Aussie stars right now, so it’s no surprised he’s landed the coveted gig.

For the past three years Sam Pang has been at the helm of the show, but earlier this year announced he would not be returning.
“I’ve had three great years, and it was wonderful, but I’m just not going to do it this year,” he told The Age.
The Age reported that while the comedian and TV personality had been approached to reprise his hosting role at the event’s 2026 iteration, he “politely declined.”
Pang said the departure was “very amicable,” adding, “I’m well aware I may never do it again, and whoever does it I’m sure will do a great job.”
When asked about his reasons for departing the helm, he revealed he “just thought three was a nice number.”
This year the Logies will celebrate a 70-year milestone, and it will no doubt be the biggest celebration of Australian television.
