Reality star Kenzie Annis walks runway hours after being discharged from hospital

Love Island US alum Kenzie Annis strutted her stuff on the runway just days after she was hospitalised with an ovarian cyst.

Annis, 24, walked in the Public Parts show during New York Fashion Week in a white outfit and angel wings. The bandeau shirt was cut off at her belly button, revealing what appeared to be a scar from a recent procedure.

Just days ago, Annis was admitted to hospital in New York City to get a “very painful” ovarian cyst removed. She was discharged from the hospital just hours before the show.

“I was so excited for Fashion Week, and I got here on Monday. I got off the flight and then was rushed in an ambulance to the closest hospital,” Annis told People Magazine.

“But I wanted to make it here so bad because this is my first fashion show ever, and I’m on some pain medication so I’m hoping that gets me through.”

She urged girls to “get scanned” for these things as she “had no idea” that she had a cyst.

She also opened up about the medical scare on her Instagram account, revealing the 11cm cyst ruptured while she was on a flight from LA to New York.

“I recently had to have an ovarian cyst removed from my left ovary,” she started the post.

“The cyst was 11 cm and ended up rupturing while I was on a flight from LA to New York for Fashion Week. I was in an insane amount of pain and had to be rushed to the hospital as soon as I landed.”

“The craziest part is that I had absolutely no idea I even had an ovarian cyst, especially one that had gotten so large. I consider myself a very healthy person, which made this whole experience even more unexpected and scary.

“I wanted to share this because it was such a reminder of how important it is for us girls to stay on top of our health, get regular checkups, and most importantly, listen to our bodies.

“If something feels off, please don’t ignore it or brush it aside. You know your body better than anyone.”

Ovarian Cysts are cysts that grow in the ovary or on the surface of one. Most go away by themselves, but some can become twisted or rupture, causing severe pain.
