Cindy Crawford’s son Presley Gerber dead at 27

Presley Gerber, the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, has died. He was 27.
According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Presley died on Sunday September 20 at a rehab facility, TMZ reported.

An autopsy is yet to be completed.
Shortly after the news broke, the Crawford-Gerber family released a statement via their representative.
“The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” they said.
Presley is the eldest of Cindy and Rande’s children. The couple are also parents to model Kaia Gerber, 25.
Like his ’80s supermodel mother and younger sister, Presley was a model himself.
He was signed by IMG Models at 15. By age 17, Presley made his runway debut in a Moschino show in Los Angeles, headed to Milan for a Dolce & Gabbana show and appeared in a Calvin Klein campaign.
Over the years, Presley had been open about his struggles with mental health and substance abuse. In a recent interview with Vogue, Kaia spoke on what it was like seeing a loved one battle addiction.
“When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,” she said.
“I think that’s also why I started to self-identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing.”

In Presley’s second last social media post, shared in March 2026, he shared a moment before an ibogaine flood dosing treatment, which is a method used in medical programs to treat opioid and other substance use disorders, according to the Ibogaine Institute.
“Quiet moment before everything changed. i was absolutely terrified, and I knew I would be again if I ever had to face something like this. helps to not go into the situations you do that get ya there but that’s life sometimes,” Presley wrote.
“my mantras were love yourself and lis gotta be the last time for this reason. letting go of control didn’t come easy, but I trusted there was something bigger than me guiding it. I knew why i was there.
“I faced what I had been running from, and somewhere in all of it, i started finding my way back to myself 🤍…. We shall see…. Praying it’s the last time I have to come back. Next time I’d like to choose 😜 🙏🏻
“And absolutely can’t forget the incredible caring kind and on their sh*t team. Helps a lot haha. And I made some dope ass friends there.”

His family was loud and proud in supporting him in the comment section of the post.
“You are a warrior! Walked thru the fire to find yourself! So proud!” mum Cindy wrote.
“That’s my brother I am so damn proud,” sister Kaia commented.
While dad Rande said: “I’m so proud of you and your courage. Facing what’s hard takes real strength and watching you find your way back to yourself is everything. I love you so much.”
Presley was charged with a DUI in December 2019. In 2020, he got a tattoo on his face that read, “MISUNDERSTOOD.” A year later, he appeared to have had it removed.
In the years that followed Presley began opening up about his mental health.
“Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do,” he said on the Studio 22 podcast.
