Nicole Kidman reveals production of Practical Magic 2 has wrapped as she shares sweet video with Sandra Bullock

Nicole Kidman has shared a sweet video on Instagram to mark the end of production on much-anticipated sequel Practical Magic 2.

"That's a wrap on #PracticalMagic2! Thank you to the cast & crew for all your magic ✨," Kidman, 58, said alongside a video of herself and Sandra Bullock, 61, walking in a field together at sunset.

If this clip is anything to go by, fans of the 1998 movie are in for an absolute treat. The footage is stunning, and points to a happy ending for the lovelorn Owens sisters.

In July, Kidman shared a post to celebrate the first day of filming.

"The witches are back. Owens sisters' first day on set!" Kidman said alongside a video showing the pair hugging while props are moved around them.

The original movie followed the story of sisters Sally and Gillian Owens who were left orphaned when an evil curse claimed the lives of their parents.

They were raised by their witch aunts Aunt Jet played by Dianne Wiest and Aunt Franny played by Stockard Channing.

The Owens sisters would learn to use their powers to fight the curse and by the end of the movie, Sally had found true love.

Wiest and Stockard announced they would be returning for the sequel, much to the delight of fans.

"25 years ago, Sally, Gillian, Aunt Jet and Aunt Franny flew off the pages of Alice Hoffman's beloved novel and into theaters around the world, and we are thrilled to bring the Owens family back to the big screen with Joey, Lee, Maisie, Solly and Xolo joining the next chapter in our story," the filmmaking team said.

"The enduring affection for these characters has been our inspiration to deliver the next installment in the Owens' story to new fans, and those who've been with us since the beginning."

Evan Rachel Wood, who played Sally's youngest daughter Kylie in the movie, isn't returning.

The actress said on Instagram at the time: "I was not asked to come back and be in the Practical Magic sequel. I offered my services, even if it was one scene or one line. I was told they are recasting.

Fresh faces joining the sequel will include Joey King who starred alongside Nicole Kidman in A Family Affair, Bodies Bodies Bodies star Lee Pace, Maisie Williams from Game of Thrones, Xolo Maridueña from Cobra Kai and Solly McLeod from The Dead Don't Hurt.

The storyline for the sequel will reportedly follow the Owens' sisters embark on a global mission to break the Owens family curse. Aunt Jet has just days to live.

Kidman and Pace were spotted filming scenes in London.

Practical Magic is based on Alice Hoffman's 1995 book of the same name and the sequel draws inspiration from her follow up book The Book of Magic released in 2021.

There is also a prequel book, Magic Lessons, released in 2020.
