NFL star Patrick Mahomes welcomes third child with wife and high school sweetheart Brittany

NFL star Patrick Mahomes has kicked off the new year with exciting family news.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and his wife Brittany Mahomes announced on social media they have welcomed their third child.

The couple shared the happy update in a joint Instagram post with a black and white close up photo of their newborn daughter's tiny feet.

Brittany simply captioned the adorable picture with their bub's name and date of birth.

The pair welcomed their daughter Golden Raye Mahomes on January 12, 2025.

The post was inundated with messages of congratulations, including from Patrick's father Pat Mahomes, who wrote: "Another beautiful granddaughter. Great job Britt."

This is the third child for the couple. They already share daughter Sterling Skye, three, and son Patrick "Bronze" Lavon Mahomes III, two.

Patrick and Brittany first met when they were in high school.

The pair got engaged in September 2020.

Less than a year later they welcomed their first daughter in February 2021.

They then tied the knot in 2022 after a decade of dating.

The Mahomes' then welcomed their second child, son Patrick, in November 2022.

The high school sweethearts announced they were expecting their third child in July 2024 with a wholesome Instagram video featuring their two kids.

In the clip, Brittany held up a printed out sonogram while posing for a photos with her family, showing off her baby bump.

Along with being married to the Chiefs quarterback, Brittany has made headlines over the last couple of years for her friendship with pop superstar Taylor Swift.

Swift is famously dating Patrick's Chiefs teammate and close friend Travis Kelce.

The singer has been pictured with Brittany in the VIP suite at several Chiefs games.

In December 2024, the Mahomeses both attended Swift's surprise party following the end of her record-breaking Eras Tour.

Brittany posted photos of herself and husband Patrick dresses in their Eras-themed outfits, as well as photos with Swift from the night.
