The Oscars class of 2024 photo has been released.

The image, which features all 179 of this year's nominees, was taken at the annual Academy Awards luncheon held in Los Angeles on Monday (Tuesday in Australia).

After feasting on an antipasto platter, mushroom risotto and a banana crème brûlée, the nominees gathered for their class photo, as is tradition.

It's hard enough to get a picture of a group of four or five people where everyone is looking their best, so we can only imagine the difficulty when you've got a room full of almost 200 people all needing to pose for the camera.

Naturally, a snap of a group so large isn't going to be perfectly poised.

We've zoomed in and scanned the photo to pick out all the interesting, funny, and confusing details you may have missed.

Read on to see if you managed to spot any.

Quick double take moment

This one required a quick double take.

At first glance it seemed as though he may have been flipping off the camera.

But upon further inspection it turns out he simply just likes to put his hands in his pockets in a very interesting fashion.

Where's Tom Ackerley?

One of the first people we noticed was Margot Robbie (more on that soon), but we quickly noticed that her husband Tom Ackerley wasn't by her side.

Ackerley and Robbie are nominated for Barbie, which their company LuckyChap Entertainment produced.

After a quick scan, we managed to locate Ackerley, right beside Robbie's Barbie co-star Ryan Gosling.

What an adorable bromance between these two Kens.

Also note the La La Land quasi-reunion between Gosling and Emma Stone, who is standing two rows below her former co-star.

Robbie once again looked stunning in Barbie pink.

All though fans were outraged upon finding out Robbie was snubbed from the best actress category, the Aussie is still up for a win as producer.

Robbie has also hinted she's unbothered about not being nominated in the best actress category.

Two pairs of glassses needed

There's nothing worse than losing your sunnies and having to brave sunlight with your naked eyeballs.

But American composer Laura Karpman will not have that problem any time soon – she came prepared with two pairs of sunnies, just in case.

Just a couple of fun guys

There's always that one guy.

But in this case there's two.

The class clowns of the group always have to make the photo a little more fun, even when it is for something as prestigious as the Oscar nominations.

Star-studded front row

The front row was a stacked lineup.

Christopher Nolan, Lily Gladstone, Martin Scorsese and Da'Vine Joy Randolph were sat front and centre for the group snap.

And just a few spots away from them in the centre of the group was another icon.

Robert Downey Jr. sat in the very centre of the picture (as he should), in the very front row (as he should).

The actor is nominated in the best supporting actor category for his role in Oppenheimer.

Even Oscar nominees get caught off gaurd

And finally, even Oscar nominees get caught off guard.

Plenty of the stars were snapped pulling weird faces or looking away from the camera, and an unlucky few were even snapped mid-blink.
