Liam Gallagher gets candid as he reveals how the Oasis reunion tour 'saved his life'

Oasis fans couldn't be happier that they're on tour again. 

But the reunion has been special for Liam Gallagher, who recently admitted that this tour has saved his life. 

The 53-year-old British rocker, who fronts the band alongside his 58-year-old brother Noel Gallagher, posted on X - formerly Twitter – about quitting smoking and drinking before the tour turned his life around. 

"You've done a great job staying healthy for the gigs, Liam. I'm sorry u have to live like a monk during the tour - but damn, you're killing it!!  Thank you thank you thank you," one fan posted on the social media platform. 

Liam replied, and he was very candid with the response. 

"Oasis saved my life it's about time I sorted my nappa [head] out I know how much this means to people so stopping drinking and smoking and snorting Gary baldies are sacrifices that needed to be made thems the rules MCFC," he replied, adding the nod to his hometown football team Manchester City Football Club.

Another fan asked the singer if he misses the "occasional Guinness" and the answer is pretty obvious, he does. 

"Yeah I miss talking absolute b------s when I'm bladdered," he replied. 

Liam has been open about his decision to quit drinking, sharing a bit more about it earlier this year in a post on X. 

In March he posted that he was "not interested in booze at the moment" and doing well. 

"I've had enough," he added.

Liam's history with drugs and alcohol is something he's spoken out about a lot in the past. 

In 2017 he told The Guardian if he could live his life over again, he'd "maybe rein it in on the drugs and drink."

The megastar group arrived in Australia last month to continue their reunion tour, which kicked off in the UK earlier this year.

They kicked off their shows in Melbourne, marking the band's first Australian show in 20 years.

Oasis was formed in Manchester in 1991 and became arguably one of the biggest bands in the world up until their high-profile split in 2009.

The band dominated airways in the '90s with top hits like Wonderwall and Don't Look Back in Anger before they split in 2009 after a feud between the Gallagher brothers.
