'Enough now!': Natalie Bassingthwaighte's emotional plea after 'malicious' comments about her romance with Pip Loth after divorce

Natalie Bassingthwaighte has once again been forced to defend her relationship with stage manager Pip Loth.

The 49-year-old Rogue Traders singer – who announced her split from husband of 12 years Cameron McGlinchey and her new romance with her girlfriend last year – took to Instagram with an emotional message about how it took her more than three decades to accept herself, and a call for trolls to cease and desist.

"I came across this pic the other day. This is a picture of me 30 or so yrs ago! I am sad, lost, fragile, afraid. I don't like myself," Bassingthwaighte's defiant – and poignant – message to her 217,000 followers began.

"I don't know who I am! I lost the ability to use my words or even know what is was I wanted to say. It has taken me a long time to come out the other side," she continued.

"I have done the work and I will continue to do the work on myself. For me and those around me. Sadness can come from many areas in life, tragedy, trauma, LIFE! You don't know where people have been or where they r going. What they have been through."

Bassingthwaighte then highlighted how "some people felt the need" to comment on her recent photo with Loth in an "intentionally malicious" way.

"My page is for people who want to feel loved and supported. Who don't judge. Who don't belittle or make people feel like a bad person," Bassingthwaighte asserted, before opening up about her mental health.

The former Neighbours star said her mental health has "been a struggle" and though she has "come out the other side", she manages it every day.

She also revealed that "close dear people" had died by suicide because of scrutiny and trolling.

"Enough now ! If you don't have anything nice to say to people don't say anything at all! My mum taught me to always treat people how you would like to be treated and to me that is with love, kindness, respect and without judgement," Bassingthwaighte pleaded.

"How dare you suggest I am not a great mother or a great person or comment on how I look! It has taken me a long time to love who I am and I will not let you take that away."

Bassingthwaighte said the "hurtful comments" had set her back, but she is picking herself back up as she "always" has and will move on.

She also said that commenting on her relationship with Loth, McGlinchey and her two children with her ex-husband is "uncalled for".

"We have all worked incredibly hard to get where we are and I am proud of all of us for that," Bassingthwaighte said.

"We r safe we are happy and we are well. For people in my past that have done me wrong I have forgiven them. For mistakes I have made I have forgiven myself. And for your attack, what you have said I forgive you."

"I can only imagine what you have been through, and for that I am sorry. I only hope that you take this and look inward and do the work," she concluded.

It's not the first time Bassingthwaighte has defended her romance with Loth – shortly after she debuted the couple's romance in November, she shared a video message to trolls, saying some of the comments had been "vicious" and "horrific".

At the time, Bassingthwaighte said: "It's a load of crap, it's not acceptable and I want it to stop!"
