'Mind-blowing': Michael J. Fox hits the stage with Coldplay at Glastonbury music festival as the band makes history

Iconic band Coldplay has made history at Glastonbury music festival this year - and had a very special guest join them on stage to help them celebrate.

Actor Michael J. Fox, 63, hit the stage with the British band to perform their hit single Fix You in front of thousands, as the group became the first band to headline the festival a record five times.

Hollywood legend Fox, who battles Parkinson's disease, thanked his team and Coldplay for letting him be apart of the incredible moment in a moving Instagram post.

"Glastonbury all the love and thanks to the @coldplay team who took such great care of us," his post read.

He added: "Oh yeah in case you were wondering… it was f**king mind blowing. There is a time for every band and a band for every time. This is @coldplay's time. More pics to come."

Actress Kate Bosworth replied underneath: "AHHHH!!!! My favorites coming together is a DREAM. 💛🎇✨."

Coldplay shared a video of the performance on Instagram with their millions of followers and wrote: "Thank you Michael J. Fox for making our dream come true."

"Epic just totally EPIC," a fan commented underneath.

Glastonbury this year features a whopping 200,000 attendees and 3000 performances.

Dua Lipa, Shania Twain, Coldplay and SZA are headliners this year, while the likes of Alexa Chung and Sienna Miller have been spotted at the event.
