A 10-year-old Matthew Perry once beat up Justin Trudeau out of 'pure jealousy'
Could this be any more random?
Matthew Perry has admitted that as a kid he once beat up future Prime Minister of Canada slash very attractive human Justin Trudeau.
The 47-year-old Friends actor revealed that he and Justin went to the same school in Ottawa, Canada, and that when Matthew was in fifth grade their acquaintance took an ugly turn.
"[My friend Chris Murray and I] actually beat up Justin Trudeau," Matthew told Jimmy Kimmel. "I think he was excelling in a sport…so it was pure jealousy."
"His dad was the prime minister of Canada at the time – I don't think that's the reason we beat him up," Matthew added. "I think he was the only kid that we could beat up."
Jimmy pointed out that if anyone tried to beat up Barron Trump they'd be in the stockades, but Matt just shrugged and confirmed that Canadians are too polite to punish anyone.
And although the actor has some shame over his "stupid kid" antics, he believes they were instrumental in making the 45-year-old politician who he is today.
"I think he said, 'I'm going to rise above this, and I'm going to become prime minister,'" Matthew joked.
Justin Trudeau has yet to comment on getting beaten up by Chandler Bing.
