From Bennifer to Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen: The celebrity splits nobody saw coming in 2024
Ah, the land of celebrity... where stars embark on high-profile relationships and are forced to endure some some very public breakups if they choose to go their separate ways.
While some Hollywood love stories stand the test of time, others crumble right in front of our very eyes.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck
It seems Bennifer 2.0 just was not meant to last.
Despite thrilling fans with their reignited romance after years spent apart, they called it quits after rumours plagued the pair for months.
In August, Jennifer Lopez reportedly filed for divorce exactly two years after they tied the knot, meaning her great love affair with actor Ben Affleck that spanned two decades was officially over.
According to reports, their official separation date is listed as April 26.
They tied the knot in Vegas before hosting a larger ceremony in August 2022.
"We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient," she wrote at the time.
Their love story was a rocky one.
The stars originally met in 2002 on the set of their film Gigli and begin dating that July.
They were originally set to tie-the-knot in September 2003, but at the time said in a statement that they were "postponing" the wedding, blaming it on "excessive media attention".
By 2004, the pair went their separate ways only to seemingly reunite in 2021.
But now, it seems it's over for good.
Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied
It was reported in March that Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied had finalised their divorce a month prior in France, where they lived with their family.
A representative of Portman confirmed the news to People at the time.
The Star Wars actress reportedly filed for divorce in 2023.
The married in 2012 after meeting on the set of Black Swan.
It was widely reported Millepied allegedly had an affair, and when asked about the headlines around her marriage and personal life, Portman told Vanity Fair: "It's terrible, and I have no desire to contribute to it."
But Portman did recently say musician and beauty entrepreneur Rihanna helped her through her split.
Speaking on the The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Portman said: "I think every woman going through a divorce should get to have Rihanna say to her that she's a bad bitch.
"It was was exactly what I needed."
Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly
This one's a sad one.
Just weeks after Transformers star Megan Fox announced she and Machine Gun Kelly are expecting a baby together, it was reported the pair had split.
TMZ was first to report the shock news, claiming the pair split over the Thanksgiving weekend in November.
Fox, 38, had revealed the baby news on Instagram with her millions of followers, showing off her baby bump during a photoshoot while covered in black paint and also sharing a picture of her positive pregnancy test.
The split news came after the Transformers actress revealed they suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage together previously.
Fox captioned her post: "Nothing is ever really lost. welcome back 👼🏼❤️."
The star tagged the rapper, 34, in her post.
Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen
In April, Isla Fisher and British comedian Sacha Baron Cohen announced their shock split on social media, after more than 20 years together.
The news made headlines around the world, as they were considered to have one of the most rock-solid relationships in Hollywood.
The couple first met at a party back in 2002 and married in 2010.
"After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down," they wrote in a statement as they announced the shock split.
"In 2023, we jointly filed to end our marriage. We have always prioritised our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change.
"We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family's wish for privacy."
Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz
It was reported just a few months ago that Hollywood couple Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz had split and called off their engagement.
People cited "multiple sources" while TMZ also reported the shock news.
They were said to have been dating since 2021.
Tatum was previously married to Jenna Dewan.
Earlier in the year, Kravitz shot down reports that she and Tatum were set to get married "next year", after her rocker father Lenny Kravitz said that was the case.
But speaking to Esquire, she said, "It's literally something we've said in passing."
"Like, maybe I said, 'Next year would be cool.'"
