Lisa Wilkinson shares sweet tribute to Peter FitzSimons on 25th wedding anniversary
Lisa Wilkinson and Peter FitzSimons are celebrating 25 years of marriage.
On Tuesday, Lisa, 57, shared a gorgeous throwback photo from their wedding in 1992.
"25 years ago today," the TODAY show host captioned the post on Instagram and Twitter. "Couldn't be more in love or grateful for the family we've built together... Happy anniversary sweetheart."
The author and former Australian rugby player hubby retweeted Lisa, adding: "What she said, but double!"
The pair met after being introduced by 60 Minutes reporter Liz Hayes. Three months later they were engaged.
"We didn't muck around," Peter told Mia Freedman on her podcast No Filter last year. "It just felt right. It didn't feel hard. It was a Sunday night, and I said: 'I'm tired of this, will you marry me?' And she said: 'Yes, I will marry you.'"
After six months they were married. Three months after that, Lisa was pregnant.
Lisa and Peter, 56, have two sons and a daughter together: Jake, 24, Louis, 22, and Billi, 20.
And it's been a big week for the Wilkinson-Fitzsimons family.
On Monday, Lisa revealed her three kids were all celebrating their birthdays - in fact Jake and Louis were born on the same day, two years apart.
"It's been birthday week at our house for these no-longer-little munchkins," she wrote. "(Yes, all Christmas babies, if you know what I mean.) Still one of my favourite photos of when we were all just starting out.
"Feels like yesterday...Happy birthday kids.xxx"
