IN PICTURES: Liam Payne's family and celebrity friends bid final farewell to former One Direction singer
Family and friends laid One Direction star Liam Payne to rest at a private funeral service in Amersham, north-west of London, on November 20, 2024.
The service came just over a month after the 31-year-old British singer fell to his death from a third floor balcony of a Buenos Aires hotel.
A white horse-drawn hearse arrived at St Mary's Church to signal the start of proceedings about 1pm (midnight AEDT).
Cheryl Cole, Payne's former partner and the mother of his seven-year-old son was rugged up in a long black button down coat with leather gloves, holding a black clutch in hand.
The Girls Aloud singer, 41, covered her eyes with oversized black sunglasses.
Cole wasn't on her own, she was joined by members from her girl group, including Nicola Roberts (right).
Roberts is also a godparent to Cole and Payne's son.
Kimberley Walsh also showed her support for Cole as she arrived at St Mary's Church in all black.
The '90s girl group have banded together in times of grief before with the death of their own bandmate, Sarah Harding.
Harding died in 2021, at the age of 39, following a battle with breast cancer.
Simon Cowell gave Liam's parents, Karen and Geoff Payne, a hug outside the church after the funeral.
Cowell, who attended with partner Lauren Silverman (right) was responsible for putting the boy band outfit One Direction together on The X Factor back in 2010.
Harry Styles, 30, was among the first of the former One Direction members to arrive for the funeral service in Buckinghamshire.
Members of the group trickled inside the church a little after midday local time (11pm AEDT).
Louis Tomlinson, 32, believed to be Payne's "best mate" of his fellow band members, made his way into the church ahead of the service for their former bandmate.
Tomlinson is also a godparent to Payne's son with Cole.
Liam Payne's girlfriend, Kate Cassidy (left), arrived alongside friend Damian Hurley - the son of model Elizabeth Hurley - for the funeral.
Cassidy, a social media influencer, had been in Buenos Aires with Payne but left two days before his death to go back to her Miami, Florida, home.
