Why Liam Hemsworth 'quickly' filed for divorce from Miley Cyrus
Liam Hemsworth "quickly" filed for divorce from Miley Cyrus just weeks after the pair announced they were splitting.
Hemsworth was keen to speed up the process after he saw photos of his ex-wife kissing Kaitlynn Carter in Italy.
A source told Us Weekly that Hemsworth, 29, didn't spare any time before filing for a divorce since Cyrus, 26, was "being so open about her relationship with Kaitlynn."

"He thought they could work it out, but all those pictures of her and Kaitlynn ended that," the source explained to Us Weekly. "Liam comes from a very conservative family and his family was freaked out by it."
When Hemsworth filed for a divorce in Los Angeles, he cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for ending their short-lived marriage.
The couple's rep confirmed on August 10 that Cyrus and Hemsworth had decided to go their separate ways after less than a year of marriage.

"Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time," the rep said in a statement to Us Weekly. "Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what's best while they both focus on themselves and careers."
But hours earlier, photos of Cyrus locking lips with Carter surfaced and it was clear that she was moving on.

Cyrus subsequently denied any speculation that she'd cheated on Hemsworth while they were still married in a post to her personal Twitter account.
"Once Liam & I reconciled, I meant it, & I was committed. There are NO secrets to uncover here," she tweeted on August 22. "I've learned from every experience in my life. I'm not perfect, I don't want to be, it's boring. I've grown up in front of you, but the bottom line is, I HAVE GROWN UP. I can admit to a lot of things but I refuse to admit that my marriage ended because of cheating."

On Tuesday, Cyrus took to the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards to perform her break-up ballad, 'Slide Away'.
After the awards show, Cyrus was photographed holding hands with Carter at the after party.
