Kim Kardashian admits she’s trying to hold North West, 13, back from fame

Kim Kardashian has confessed she has to hold daughter North West back from chasing fame at just 13 years old.
The reality TV star, 44, shares four children with ex Kanye ‘Ye’ West – Psalm, seven, Chicago, eight, Saint, 10, and North – but told The Times she worries about her eldest’s fame aspirations.

“I do worry about it. Each kid does what they’re comfortable with,” Kardashian said.
“So, my little ones come around when I’m filming but they don’t really do storylines.
“North loves it a little bit more than the rest... I hold her back. All she wants to do is forward-facing projects.”
Kardashian confessed she’s trying hard to manage North’s desire for the spotlight the “right way” and that she’s mindful not to let the 13-year-old jump at every opportunity that comes her way.
It’s one area where she and ex Ye, 49, are aligned.
“[It’s] something that her dad and I have better communication about. We make sure that we’re aligned, and that she’s in projects that we both approve,” she said.
North is no stranger to the spotlight, having appeared in her mother’s reality TV shows and social media content since she was a young child.
Earlier this year she told Dazed she wanted to work a “regular job” despite being the child of a billionaire celebrity and a music mogul, but that seems to have changed.
Now North is forging a celebrity career of her own online and in the music industry.

Her TikTok page has more than 21 million followers, and her Instagram account has 2.6 million followers. Both are managed by her parents.
The 13-year-old also performed her first solo concert in Chicago, US, last month, where she performed music from her N0rth4evr debut EP.
Her divorced parents reunited to cheer her on... from balconies on opposite sides of the venue.
North has also appeared at her dad’s concerts, as well as fashion shows and other A-list events with her mum.
Though she’s clearly loving the limelight, some fans have voiced concerns about her being exposed to the media spotlight at such a young age.

Critics have also lashed Kardashian and Ye for allowing the 13-year-old to undergo body modifications like piercings, wear black grillz, and embrace an alternative style so young.
North also had a headline tour with rapper Molly Santana scheduled for later this year, but it has since been cancelled.
