AFL star Josh Daicos' fiancée Annalise Dalins gushes about engagement

After a whirlwind trip to Greece that resulted in an engagement, AFL star Josh Daicos' fiancée Annalise Dalins has revealed how the romantic proposal happened.

Speaking on Today, Dalins gushed as she was congratulated on the milestone.

"It has been the craziest few weeks of my life. It has been so amazing," she said.

"It's been so special to kind of have that love bubble in Greece, and now come home and share it with our family and friends.

"We've been, you know, so spoiled with so many beautiful messages. And we just feel so lucky. All the messages have meant so much to us."

The interview came the day before the Brownlow Awards, which she will be attending with Daicos.

His brother, AFL player Nick Daicos is in the running for the Brownlow Medal, with Dallins sharing that everyone in the Daicos household is "really calm".

"You know, we're all really looking forward to the night. I think on the night, of course, we'll all be quite nervous, but we're just really looking forward to cheering him on and celebrating him," she said.

The model said she is preparing for the awards by getting straight off the plane and into fittings for her outfit.

"It has been crazy, but everyone's been working around the clock and I feel so appreciative," she shared, adding that she will be styled by Aussie designer OGLIA-LORO Couture and stylist Styled By Bloom.

"They've done such an amazing job. I don't know how all the creatives constantly come up with new ideas for dresses and everyone's always wearing something so different, and I feel like they share your personality through the fashion," she said.

She even gave a little hint about her outfit, saying she is going the "traditional Brownlow way" with "the more sparkles the better".

"I don't want to give too much away, but I think a bit of sparkles is always the way to go," she said.

She and Daicos shared the news of their engagement after three years of dating, in an Instagram post.

"The happiest day of our lives," Daicos captioned some post-proposal snaps.

"My girl for a lifetime ❤️" he added.
