Joey Lawrence and wife split after two years of marriage
Joey Lawrence's wife Samantha Cope has officially filed for divorce,
According to Us Weekly Cope, 37, made the decision to end her marriage to the Blossom star on August 21, which is two months after the date listed as their separation.
Documents obtained by Us state Cope has requested sole custody of their child, 19-month-old daughter Dylan.

Cope also said once Dylan turned three, she would approve Lawrence to look after her for up to two nights per week.
"Once Dylan is 3 or older, Joe will have the option to take her for 2 nights in her home location if he is not working and can facilitate her visiting," the divorce filing reads, according to People.

Us Weekly also reports that per the filing: "Cope has requested that Lawrence does "not take [Dylan] for long, extended periods of time until she is old enough to specifically ask for the visitation time and all parties agree and able to facilitate."
Lawrence, 48, met Cope on the set of Lifetime's My Husband's Secret Brother.

The actor, who rose to fame in the '90s, was previously married to Chandie Yawn-Nelson, whom he split from in 2020.
Cope and Lawrence have been married for two years, and they were married on May 1, 2022, in an intimate ceremony in California.
Just months later, the pair announced that they were expecting, sharing a video to their Instagram.
"🕊🌙 It's been fun getting to know you so far little one! We are so blessed! @joeylawrence," Cope wrote before sharing more the following day.
"Find a man who will pray with you. and laugh with you. and bring you snacks all day when you're preggos. i can't wait for our baby to meet you @joeylawrence 🤍🕊️," she wrote
The couple announced in a heartwarming Instagram post that they had welcomed their baby girl in 2023.
"1.16.23 🕊️💗 ~ Dylan Rose Lawrence ~ Mom, Dad and big sisters are all so smitten with you sweet girl!
"We welcomed her into this world with the most amazing midwife, everyone is happy and healthy and we are overjoyed with gratitude 🙏🏼🤍 wow what a beautiful journey.

Neither of the pair have publicly addressed their divorce.
