Jessie J wishes ex-boyfriend Channing Tatum a happy birthday: 'So grateful you were born'

Jessie J still has plenty of good feelings towards her ex-boyfriend Channing Tatum.

The 'Flashlight' singer, 32, penned a birthday tribute to the actor, despite breaking up for a second time a couple of weeks ago.

"Happy 40th birthday to this special man right here," the singer wrote, alongside a snap of Tatum standing in a body of water on April 26 (US time). "You are truly one of a kind. I am so grateful you were born, and even more grateful that we met."

The next slide in her Instagram Story was a black-and-white photo of Tatum holding a helmet in a motorsports ensemble.

She capped off the birthday love with a video of Tatum jumping into the ocean in a tank top and swim shorts.

"Keep living your BEST life," the pop star wrote over the clip.

Twitter users were unsure if this was a sign that the pair had reconnected.

"Are they back together again?" one social media commentator wrote.

Shortly after the pair reconciled, Tatum and Jessie J called it quits in early April and realised they were better suited as friends.

"The same issues were still popping up," a source close to Tatum told E! News. "They love and care about each other".

"They cared enough about each other to try again but realised it was better to move on," another source confirmed to People. "It's totally amicable."

Jessie J and the Magic Mike star got back together in January after first splitting in December 2019. They had been dating for about a year at the time.

Tatum's split from the musician came a month after Jenna Dewan welcomed her son Callum with Steve Kazee.

Tatum was married to Dewan from 2009 to 2018. The exes share a daughter — Everly, six.
