J.Lo's Ben Affleck 'commitment' tattoo missing in latest appearance

Jennifer Lopez has taken her divorce from Ben Affleck a step further and seemingly removed a tattoo she got in honour of their relationship. 

The apparent decision to remove it was revealed when she arrived at the Toronto International Film Festival in what has been hailed as a 'revenge dress'.

Lopez had fans doing a double take when she stepped out in an awe-inspiring Tamara Ralph gown that glittered on the red carpet and showed off her ribcage.

Previously, the singer had an infinity sign tattooed on her ribs that featured "Jennifer" and her then-husband's name, "Ben," on both sides of the design, with an arrow in the middle.

The actress revealed the conversation that led to her decision to wear the gown but didn't mention the tattoo.

Lopez told People that she chose the dress because: "I felt good. There was a discussion about whether I should or shouldn't. And I was like, f--- it," she said laughing. 

Fans have since wondered if the dress was an intentional choice to display her ink-less rib cage.

Lopez and Affleck got matching tattoos on their first Valentine's Day as a married couple in 2023.

"Commitment ♾️ Happy Valentine's Day, my love 🤍," Lopez captioned the Instagram post announcing the news. The post also showed Affleck's tattoo, which was a pair of crossed arrows and the letters" B" and "J." 

It is unclear whether the singer permanently removed her tattoo or covered it up with makeup, though it would be understandable if the star did get it laser-treated.

Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck on the second anniversary of their 2022 wedding ceremony in Riceboro, Georgia.

She listed their separation date as April 26, 2024, meaning that they were married for one year and nine months before parting ways.

Lopez and Affleck's marriage came more than 20 years after they first met on the set of the comedy Gigli, where they played criminals stuck on a job together and struck up a real-life friendship that later led to a romance.

They called off a planned wedding in 2003 and got back together in 2021. Lopez cited "irreconcilable differences" as the cause of the divorce.
