Jennifer Hawkins and Jake Wall welcome first child

Jennifer Hawkins and husband Jake Wall have welcomed their first child.

The former Miss Universe announced the birth of their daughter on Instagram on October 22, saying the couple "couldn't be more in love".

The caption also announced the little beauty's name, which is just gorgeous - Frankie Violet Hawkins Wall.

Sharing two images of herself with her newborn daughter and a third close up of the saddled cherub, the new mum gushed over the new addition to their family.

"Dream come true! So thankful to be holding our beautiful healthy baby girl!" Jen wrote.

The 35-year-old model mum announced her pregnancy on social media in May, telling fans: "I'm sooo happy to share with you some exciting news! Jake and I are expecting a baby girl!!! We can't wait to meet her!

"Thank you to our beautiful family and friends for their love and support and, most importantly, to my hubby Jake – I can't wait to see you as a Daddy!"

Since then, the businesswoman has been excitedly sharing her pregnancy journey online into her second and third trimester.

She also opened up about an earlier miscarriage in 2018, which left her devastated and "scared" when she fell pregnant again this year.

"Last year was such a tough year for Jake and me. It was the toughest year of our lives," she candidly told Stellar magazine in August.

"I felt like I almost broke and, in fact, it's still really raw. But Jake was amazing. He let me sit with the pain, feel it and not be OK."

She added, "I had so many years of planning, but the one thing I so dearly wanted couldn't be planned. Everything crumbled. With women, we want everything to be OK, but sometimes it's just not."

Jen and Jake, 36, met when the then Newcastle cheerleader was just 20, which was the year before she took the Miss Universe crown in 2004. The couple married in 2013.
