Following her divorce from country star Jelly Roll, Bunnie Xo – real name Alyssa DeFord – has shared a brutally honest take on her ex-husband’s affair.
Jelly Roll – real name Jason DeFord – publicly admitted to his infidelity last year. Now, speaking with Denise Richards, Alyssa has opened up about how it made her feel.
In her memoir Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic, released in February, Bunnie Xo shared she contemplated suicide when she found out about Jelly Roll’s affair. YouTube/Dumb Blonde Podcast
On the latest episode of her Dumb Blond podcast, Alyssa told Richards – without naming Jason directly – that when she found out she was cheated on, it wasn’t the act itself that hurt her, but the lies.
“It’s like whiplash ... you feel so slimy,” she said.
“There’s no way to feel good about it. Betrayal trauma literally rewires your brain to not trust people, to just feel disgusting because you’re the last to know.
“Nobody ever wants to be the f---ing last to know and when you are, it’s just a different kind of hurt.”
Jason revealed his affair on the Human School podcast back in October 2025, admitting that it was “one of the worst moments of my adulthood”.
The couple, who married in 2016, briefly split in 2018 following the infidelity before soon reconciling, even renewing their vows in 2023.
“The repair has been special. And we’re stronger than we could have ever been,” Jason shared on the Human School podcast.
However, things eventually came crumbling down for the couple when they separated in May 2026, with news of their divorce surfacing in June.
The couple finalised their divorce in July 2026, with an alleged clause prohibiting either party from “trash talking” one another, according to Page Six.

While the couple has remained amicable in the public eye, saying that they are still “best friends”, Jason’s daughter Bailee Ann DeFord told fans they “have no f---ing idea” about the real story.
The 18-year-old shared an explosive video to TikTok in defence of her dad, telling people to stop speculating about her family’s business.
“Y’all have no f---ing idea what happened, and wait ’till y’all find out. Just f---ing wait,” she said.
“Because I promise y’all, the view of what y’all have of not only the situation, but their relationship and the internet in totality is about to f---ing crumble the day that I open my mouth.”
