Jay-Z did not have to look far for next year’s Super Bowl halftime performer.
The rapper, 56, whose company Roc Nation has produced the halftime show since 2019, will take to the stage himself at next year’s Valentine’s Day game, Puck News reports.

Multiple sources told the publication that the mogul’s time was inevitable at some point, and now is finally time.
They also said Jay-Z felt “more compelling” than this year’s other frontrunners, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber.
Despite the report, there has been no official announcement or confirmation from Roc Nation or the NFL.
The performance would be the cherry on top of a mammoth year for Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, who has been touring the 30th anniversary celebration of his debut album Reasonable Doubt.
He hosted a three-night residency at Yankee Stadium, and released an eight-part documentary series breaking down his creative process.
Despite having ultimate say on its performers since 2019, Jay-Z has never taken to the Super Bowl stage himself.
His wife, Beyoncé, has twice, however, as the headliner in 2013 and as a guest during Coldplay’s 2016 performance.
Fans will no doubt be hoping she makes another appearance next year, just as she did during his Yankee Stadium show in July.
Roc Nation signed a $US5 million ($7.1 million) a year deal with the NFL in 2019 and re-upped that deal for another five years in 2024.

This gave Jay-Z final say on selecting performers including Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar and this year’s headliner, Bad Bunny.
The next Super Bowl will take place on February 14, 2027 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
