A peek inside Sofia Richie's lavish wedding in the south of France

Lionel Richie's daughter Sofia has married her longtime partner Elliot Grainge in a stunning ceremony nestled in the French Riviera.

The 24-year-old tied the knot alongside her famous family, including socialite sister Nicole Richie, wearing a timeless Chanel gown.

British Vogue captured the special day as Richie and music executive Grainge, 29, exchanged vows at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes.

Richie and Grainge held a two-day extravaganza for their nuptials, with a number of outfit changes for the celebrity offspring-turned-fashionista.

The bride wore three different dresses over three major events for her wedding weekend; the rehearsal dinner, the ceremony and the after-party.

As seen in Vogue, Richie walked down the aisle in a custom-designed halter-necked Chanel gown and her hair swept back into a bun.

"We created the top of that dress and made it bridal-y," Richie told Vogue ahead of the wedding.

 "It is such magic. I honestly think Elliot is going to love it. He is my biggest cheerleader when it comes to anything I wear."

Richie's famous sister took to Instagram to celebrate her younger sibling's special day, sharing a carousel of photos from the ceremony.

The Simple Life star, 41, wore a simple black dress for the ceremony and changed into a striking green dress for the afterparty.

"I love you more than anything," Richie captioned a photo of herself and the blushing bride.

According to US Magazine, a number of A-listers were in attendance at the wedding, including Richie's brother-in-law, Good Charlotte's Joel Madden, his twin Benji Madden and his wife Cameron Diaz.

It is also believed Paris Hilton and her husband Carter Reum were present for the ceremony.

Several snaps and videos from the lavish French wedding showed fireworks during the reception and a crowded dance floor.

Richie and Grainge became engaged in April 2022 after first sparking romance rumours in early 2021.

She shared the happy news on Instagram with a series of photos from the intimate proposal, which was done by candlelight at a waterfront location.

"Forever isn't long enough," Richie wrote, alongside a photo of herself gasping as Grainge got down on one knee with the emerald-cut diamond.

The bride's father, legendary singer Lionel Richie, joked after the engagement that Grainge was terrified when he asked for his permission.

"He was a nervous wreck, poor guy," The All Night Long singer joked to Access Hollywood.

"I thought he was going to pass out, but he survived it. I was going to rib him a little bit, but I didn't want to play, he was going to faint."
