Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster gave one audience the performance of a lifetime during a special fundraising gala this week.

The couple performed together – for the first time since they shared the Broadway stage for The Music Man in 2022 – at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Maine’s 2026 benefit gala.

Two-time Tony winner Foster, 51, performed an exclusive concert at the event, and surprised the audience by welcoming Jackman, 57, on stage for a duet.

“In a surprise that brought the audience to their feet, Foster welcomed fellow Tony winner Hugh Jackman to the stage for an unforgettable duet,” the Playhouse shared in a statement.

They performed the jazz track A Doodlin’ Song and A Million Dreams, from Jackman’s 2017 film The Greatest Showman.

Foster was dazzling in a sparkly yellow sequinned gown, while Jackman wore a relaxed chestnut brown silk-linen suit with a navy shirt.

The event raised $US3 million ($4.25 million) supporting the Playhouse’s Next Century Campaign to build a new theatre.

Jackman and Foster had known each other for years thanks to their Broadway circles, but were first romantically linked in late 2024.

It came after Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness, 70, shocked the world in September 2023 when they announced their divorce after 30 years of marriage, and Foster’s split from her partner of 11 years, Ted Griffin.

Following months of speculation, Jackman and Foster’s relationship was confirmed in January 2025 when they were photographed strolling hand in hand in Santa Monica, California.

They made their first red carpet appearance together at the Song Sung Blue premiere in October 2025.

In May 2026, they brought Broadway magic to the Met Gala and most recently cosied up at the New York premiere of the showman’s newest film, The Death of Robin Hood.
