Huge detail in Taylor Swift selfie overshadowed by Prince William, George and Charlotte's royal cameo

Taylor Swift's first London Eras Tour show made more headlines than usual thanks to a surprise royal appearance at the concert  – Prince William and his two eldest children.

But hidden in the iconic selfie of the Prince of Wales, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce was another big milestone detail.

The photo marked the very first time the Lavender Haze singer had featured her NFL star boyfriend on her Instagram grid.

Swift, 34, chose this royal moment to go Instagram official with Kelce after nearly a year of dating, however this important detail was slightly overshadowed by the very famous guests featured in the photo.

In the snap shared to Swift's 283 million Instagram followers, Swift was seen grinning in a sweet selfie alongside the three royals and Kelce, who also flashed a winning smile for the camera.

"Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start," Swift captioned the photo.

The Prince and Princess of Wales also shared another angle of the selfie, this time without Kelce included in the photo, to their joint Instagram account.

"Thank you @taylorswift for a great evening! #LondonTSTheErastour," the photo was captioned.

While George, 10, and Charlotte, nine, accompanied their father to the show, Prince Louis, six, and the Princess of Wales remained at home.

Despite being linked to Kelce since the middle of 2023, Swift was yet to post a snap of her Kansas City Chiefs boyfriend to her social media account – until now.

Their backstage moment at Wembley Stadium in London also marked the first time Swift and Kelce had been seen together in a month.

Kelce has been pictured several times enjoying Swift's Eras Tour shows as she jets around the world, famously attending the pop star's concert in Sydney on night one.

The singer's London shows have been quite the star-studded affair. In attendance during night one and two included several stars from Bridgerton, Zara and Mike Tindall, actress Rachel Zegler and even Tom Cruise.
