Harry Styles narrowly avoids disaster as he slips over during opening song in Mexico

Harry Styles has proved once again that he’s quite the showman after he managed to pull off what could have been a huge mishap on stage.
The 32-year-old was performing his Together, Together tour in Mexico over the weekend when he slipped on stage, sending gasps through the crowd.

He was performing the song Are You Listening Yet? When he appeared to slip on the stage and instantly a horrified look took over his face.
His arms flailed as he skidded across the stage.
While it could have been a disaster, Styles managed to stick the landing and turned the mishap into a pose, landing casually with his head resting on his hand.
The really impressive part of it all? He seamlessly continued singing without missing a beat.

The on-stage incident happened during the second night of the Mexico City leg of his tour at the GNP Seguros Stadium during the opening song of the night.
The pop star was wearing black trousers paired with a black shirt, red blazer and finished with a colourful tie – which has become his signature style for this tour.
It is possible that rain from an earlier storm that hit the city before the show kicked off was the reason why he slipped over.

As he kicked off the show he thanked his fans in the audience for braving the wild weather to get to the show.
“Viva México! Thank you so much for being here. Is everyone all right? OK, it’s just like sweating if you think about it. You survived the rain. Thank you for being here. It means so much to us,” he told the audience.
Styles was forced to delay the start of the concert when heavy rain swept through the city, due to safety concerns.

The on-stage mishap in Mexico comes just weeks after the Watermelon Sugar hitmaker was forced to cancel his São Paulo concert at the 11th hour due to a “health issue”.
The mystery issue was revealed just hours before he was due to take to the stage in Brazil and fans were offered refunds due to the last-minute cancellation.
