Rami Malek addresses cringe-worthy moment Nicole Kidman snubbed him at the Golden Globes

Rami Malek has spoken out for the first time since Nicole Kidman unknowingly snubbed him at the Golden Globe Awards on Monday.

In case you missed it, the 37-year-old actor walked on stage to join his Bohemian Rhapsody cast and crew as they won Best Motion Picture – Drama, which was presented by Kidman. But when Malek went up to thank the Aussie actress for the award, she turned her back on him and left him hanging.   

Naturally, when Malek appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live yesterday, the talk-show host not only asked him about the awkward moment but also showed him a clip.

"I had not seen that," an embarrassed Malek laughed as he hid behind his hands. "I've known her for many years, despite as it may seem from that video. So I thought I could easily go up and say, 'Hi,' but in a moment like that…

"I have a feeling this is haunting me on the internet right now," added Malik, who won Best Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for his portrayal of Queen frontman Freddie Mercury in the biopic.

While he got no love from Kidman, her husband, Keith Urban, showed his support backstage.  

"That's alright," Malek said of Kidman's snub. "I got love from Keith that night, her husband. He's a massive Queen fan."
