Jane the Virgin star Gina Rodriguez announces she is pregnant with first child
Gina Rodriguez has announced she and her husband Joe LoCicero are expecting their first child together.
The Jane the Virgin star slipped the news into a video where she shared her 38th birthday celebrations.
"This birthday hits different," Rodriguez wrote in the caption.

The video also included some adorable snaps of the couple on dates and a cheesy voiceover from Calum Scott's 'You are the Reason': "anyone can want you, but love hits different when someone actually values you."
The couple received congratulations from all corners of Hollywood.
Pitch Perfect star Brittany Snow said, "Yaaaaaay my love!! So much love for you THREE."
Viola Davis simply said, "Congratulations."
"My heart is bursting for you two," wrote Jaime Camil, who played her on-screen dad in Jane the Virgin.

Rodriguez publicly admitted she wanted a baby during a 2016 interview on Ellen.
"I don't want the whole process, I just want one to arrive, like the stork conversation," she said.
"I could adopt, right? Yeah, I just might do that. I definitely want to adopt."
She also said working with babies on Jane the Virgin would make her want kids even more.
"I feel like they bring the baby up to me and my ovaries are like 'Ahh! Come here, baby!"
Rodriguez and LoCicero began dating in 2016 after they met on the set of Jane the Virgin during an episode where he guest starred as a stripper.

She confirmed their engagement in 2018 and told People magazine Joe was, "the best. He's the f---ing best."

"I don't even really want to say it's happening. I just want to live! I think there's a huge blessing in the fact that people care. That's a beautiful thing, so that feels really good," she said.
"But another part of me wants to keep a little something that's just mine, because there's not too many things I have like that anymore."
The couple got married in May 2019.
