George and Amal Clooney enjoy glamorous date night at Prince Charles' charity dinner

Buckingham Palace opened its doors to a host of celebrities as Prince Charles hosted a dinner in honour of his youth charity.

The Prince of Wales welcomed donors, supporters and ambassadors of the Prince's Trust charity last night, where actual royalty mingled with Hollywood royalty, George Clooney and wife Amal Clooney.

The glamorous pair were later seen talking to Prince Charles about his organisation, which endeavours to create brighter futures for young people, helping them with education, training and employment.

The actor has called the UK home since marrying the human rights lawyer in 2014 and has firmly reserved a place among British high society. Last year, he and Amal attended their close friends Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's star-studded wedding in May, then in August they flew the newlyweds to his Lake Como home in Italy for a weekend of bonding.

Last month, Amal also hosted the Duchess of Sussex's lavish baby shower in New York.

Joining the Clooneys at the Buckingham Palace event were actors Benedict Cumberbatch, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Luke Evans. Also invited was actor Josh Hartnett and his girlfriend, St Trinian's star Tamsin Egerton, who looked stunning despite feeling under the weather.

"After illness, antibiotics and a toddler's sleep regression yesterday's facial gave my face the biggest punch of tlc," Tamsin said on Instagram after the event. "I wish I could look this fresh everyday!!!!"
