Billionaire heiress Francesca Packer set to marry in Spain this weekend

Billionaire heiress and granddaughter of Kerry Packer, Francesca Packer-Barham, is set to marry in a lavish ceremony over the weekend of August 1 in Spain.

Marrying Robert Bates, the couple is already legally wed, with a private, family-only ceremony taking place in May 2026. This weekend is set to be the major celebration.

Francesca is the daughter of Gretel Packer and her first husband Nick Packer.

With the wedding reportedly set to take place on the Spanish island of Mallorca, members of the Packer family have been spotted out and about ahead of the nuptials.

The mother of the bride has of course been spotted in Spain, along with Francesca’s brothers Ben and William set to attend, as well as her uncle James Packer and his fiancée, Kylie Lim.

With an expected guest list of around 120 people, the names of attendees have been kept under wraps.

However, multiple outlets report both Gretel and James’ super yachts tracking course for Mallorca with the wider family also expected to attend.

Some sources report the wedding to be a three-day celebration, whereas others report events taking place from Wednesday, July 29 through Saturday, August 1. The couple have reportedly chosen the Four Seasons, Mallorca as the venue.

While Francesca and Robert never officially confirmed their engagement, rumours began swirling that Robert had popped the question in February 2026.

They then tied the knot back in May on the Packer family’s sprawling Hunter Valley estate.

Believed to have been dating since 2022, Francesca and Robert have widely kept their relationship out of the public eye.

Robert is an entrepreneur and businessman, founding since-failed companies Aquamamma and Aurum+ wellness.

The couple shares a 15-year age gap, with Robert in his mid-40s and Francesca in her early 30s.

Although Francesca has a public Instagram account, the couple have never posted an image together.

Francesca’s account seems to have been inactive for several years now, her last post made in March 2022 for International Women’s Day.

She shared an image of herself alongside her grandmother, Roslyn Packer, with the caption, “Strong women raise strong women 💪🏼 so much love for my incredible role models…today and everyday 🥰”
