Francesca Hung marries Nick Lowry in stunning Palm Beach ceremony: 'Married my best friend'

Model and presenter Francesca Hung has married partner Nicholas Lowry in a stunning ceremony in Sydney's Palm Beach.

The former Miss Universe Australia, 29, shared news of their nuptials on Instagram on Monday, revealing they tied the knot on Friday, December 1.

Hung wrote in her post: "🤍 1.12.23 🤍The day I married my best friend."

On her big day, Hung wore an elegant one-shoulder gown that featured a backless design and a flowing skirt.

She teamed the look with heels and pulled her dark hair back and off her face, accessorising with a statement pearl necklace and a long veil.

Lowry looked dapper in a black and white three-piece suit and bowtie.

A friend of the couple shared a picture of the pair embracing after their ceremony, and also a video of the pair dancing at the reception.

Hung told Vogue Australia she wore a gown by Oglia-Loro Couture and Jimmy Choo shoes.

"I also wanted something timeless and that I would look back on in 50 years time and still be in love with," she said about her gorgeous gown.

She later changed into a lace minidress for the reception.

Speaking about tying the knot at Dunes Palm Beach, she said that the area is a "special place" for them both.

"Both of us spent a lot of time on the northern beaches growing up and as a couple," she explained.

Hung explained that Lowry proposed at Crown back in December 2021, getting her to the venue by setting up a fake work engagement.

"I rocked up to The Crown ready for work and the PR team escorted me to a room, and when I opened the door Nick was standing at the end of a rose petal covered aisle," she explained.

Before getting engaged in 2021, they had been together for five years.
