EXCLUSIVE! Brynne Edelsten hinted at marriage breakdown before split: 'I'm doing things more on my own now'

With the news of Brynne and Geoffrey Edelsten's separation hitting the headlines yesterday, Brynne hinted to TheFIX exclusively last month that her marriage was on the rocks.
Firstly, the 30-year-old revealed that her 70-year-old husband of four years wouldn't be appearing much on the upcoming second season of her reality show, My Bedazzled Life, airing on the Seven Network later this year.
"Geoff's in it 'cause he's my husband and he has to be, he's not in it for much of it — this is more about me and discovering my new country and overseas in Japan and America and of course at home in America," she said.
When asked how conscious that decision was, Brynne replied, "No it wasn't, it's really he's working on his things and I'm doing things more on my own now."
Secondly, the pair seemed to be drifting apart since Geoffrey's reported affair with a woman he met on sugardaddy.com in 2012. Brynne mentioned the incident while chatting with us about her stress-related hair loss during that year.
"That's during the time when my husband was in court over that girl who we're not allowed to say her name," she said. "It was a really stressful year, in my marriage, with my show and the pressure of people wanting me to have a baby yet having these problems at home."
Brynne, who was recently appointed the global ambassador for hair treatment brand Evolis, added that she'd embraced yoga and meditation to try "cope with things a little better" and adopted a "new outlook on life".
Brynne's former manager and close friend John Scott told TheFIX last night that "unfortunately it's true, it's confirmed they've separated", following a report in New Idea magazine and Fairfax newspapers.
"Neither are making a comment, they've been blindsided by the New Idea story before they have even had their chance to get their things in order," John told us. "The priority is for them to get their separation sorted."
Brynne also split with her manager on December 31, Scott telling us "it was not acrimonious" and that they are still "close friends". She has engaged Rob Menzies as her new manager.
It certainly seems like Brynne's turned over a new leaf for 2014. The separation news comes just after millionaire medical entrepreneur Geoffrey filed for bankruptcy on the weekend.
Meanwhile, Geoffrey's first wife Leanne fired up on the Today show this morning with claims that Brynne and Geoffrey had an "arranged marriage"...
