Dwayne Johnson lays epic smackdown on Aussie comedian: 'Go f--k yourself'

Of the millions ("annnnnndddd millllions") of Dwayne Johnson's fans, it appears only one did not smell what "The Rock" is cookin'.

Australian comedian and author Ben Pobjie thought it wise to poke the proverbial bear on Sunday night, while The Rock was celebrating the in-ring return of friend Kurt Angle, who performed at WWE's Tables, Ladders, and Chairs event.

"Congrats to my good bud @RealKurtAngle and his return tonight to a @WWE ring. Special athlete and great human being. Have FUN brotha #WWETLC," The Rock tweeted to his 12 million followers.

Perhaps suspecting the pro-wrestler-turned-blockbuster film star wouldn't notice, Ben quoted Rock's tweeted, adding the caption: "Dwayne, wrestling isn’t real. It’s time you knew."

Soon after, Ben tweeted: "I'm playing a dangerous game hoping @TheRock gets my zany sense of humour and doesn't just have me killed."

Of course, the Jumanji star didn't let it pass without laying the smackdown.

"I like the dry wit," The Rock tweeted back. "Correct, I do in fact know wrestling isn’t real. That's why I said 'have fun'. I also know, you can go f--k yourself."

The tweet soon went viral, with The Rock's fans coming after Ben, who authored a book called Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!

But it appears The Rock took the apparent joke in stride, telling Ben in a separate tweet: "Yes, I not only got the zany but appreciated it as well," to which Ben called him "a gentleman and an artist."

And it turns out, Ben said he plans to sending The Rock a signed copy of his book!
