Drew Barrymore says she 'got stood up' by someone she met on a celebrity dating app

Drew Barrymore says she got stood up after meeting someone on a dating app.

In Wednesday night's episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the Drew Barrymore Show talk show host discussed her time on the dating app Raya, and the awkward experience she encountered.

"I did terribly," Barrymore said. "I got stood up and I didn't match with anyone and my friends gave me this bloated sense of false confidence. They were like 'You should try it, you will do great. It was a car wreck."

Despite her negative experiences, she also admitted she "had a lot of fun with it."

"I've always wanted to go on a blind date," she said. "But my life got in the way of that so I thought online dating might fasciate that desire."

When Andy Cohen asked if she got stood up by a celebrity, the 50 First Dates star revealed it was "a guy who owned a restaurant."

Last week, Barrymore opened up to Jane Fonda about how she's "sworn off men" for the last five years.

"I'm not closed for business," she explained. "But I have been exactly in that mentality for the past five years, thinking I just don't have the bandwidth. I don't know if I'm willing to open [up], I just can't fit it in."

Barrymore split from husband Will Kopelman in 2016 after being married for four years. The exes share two daughters: Olive, seven, and Frankie, six. Prior to Kopelman, the former child star was previously married to Jeremy Thomas and Tom Green.
