‘Desperate’: Kelly Osbourne unleashes over late dad Ozzy
Kelly Osbourne has fired back at Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider after he questioned her late father Ozzy Osbourne.
The 41-year-old unleashed in a series of heated posts shared to Instagram, slamming Snider’s comments as “spectacularly classless” and accusing the rocker of trying to criticise her father when he was no longer around to defend himself.

The drama began after Snider, 71, answered fan questions about songwriting credits and claimed that Ozzy “always had bass players write his lyrics”.
“I know too much about the truth behind the scenes. Let’s just say that [Ozzy’s wife] Sharon [Osbourne] doesn’t like to share [credit],” Snider posted to X.
Kelly quickly hit back, writing on Instagram: “My father’s legacy as a musician, songwriter, singer and bandleader speaks for itself.
“His friends, those who worked with him, those who love him and millions of fans around the world that still continue to buy his records know exactly what he meant, what he contributed and what he leaves behind.
“His legacy will live on eternally.”
Kelly then turned her attention to Snider, directly slamming his decision to make the claims after Ozzy’s death.

“There’s something spectacularly classless about Dee Snider trying to diminish my father Ozzy Osbourne and his extraordinary abilities and achievements when he is no longer here to challenge his allegations,” she wrote.
“If Snider wants to invite comparisons between their careers, that comparison is devastating enough on its own,” Kelly added.
“Snider had a brief period of mainstream success more than 40 years ago. My father’s career spanned nearly six decades — from helping to define heavy metal with Black Sabbath to building an extraordinary solo career.
“His music will continue influencing generations long after all of us are gone.”
Kelly argued her father did not need Snider’s praise.
“And trying to make my father smaller won’t make Dee Snider bigger, it only reminds everyone of the enormous difference between their legacies and further proves just how irrelevant Snider is to the music industry and society as a whole,” she wrote.
She finished with a dig: “However, I would like to thank you Dee Snider for allowing the world to see how desperate he truly is.”

Snider subsequently tried to clear the air, writing on X that he had “nothing but love” for the Black Sabbath legend and saying the band had changed his life.
“He was always lovely to me. @BlackSabbath changed my life! As a songwriter I can be a little touchy about credit and royalties,” he explained.
Ozzy died aged 76 in July 2025, just over two weeks after taking to the stage for his final performance.
The rock icon reunited with his Black Sabbath bandmates for the star-studded Back to the Beginning concert in Birmingham, with Metallica, Guns N’ Roses and Slayer among the acts paying tribute to his career.
Black Sabbath formed in Birmingham in 1968, with Ozzy going on to form a hugely successful solo career. Snider rose to fame as frontman of Twisted Sister, best known for 1980s hits including We’re Not Gonna Take It and I Wanna Rock.
