David Beckham reaches out to Brooklyn despite brutal ‘$1.4 million’ advert snub

David Beckham has extended an olive branch to his eldest son, Brooklyn, despite reports the 27-year-old was paid $US1 million ($1.4 million) for a DoorDash advert that mocked their ongoing family feud.

The former England captain, 51, posted a slideshow of photos of all of his children to Instagram, including Brooklyn, with a heartfelt caption about being a dad.

All of his children, except for Brooklyn, also shared a tribute to their dad for Father’s Day which is celebrated in the UK on the third Sunday in June.

“Being a dad is my most important job,” David captioned the post.

“I love you all & thank you, mummy (Victoria Beckham) for giving me our beautiful family 🩷 Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads around the world 🩷.”

The photos showed memories of his children when they were young, including one of Brooklyn, Cruz and Romeo holding their baby sister, Harper, in their arms.

Romeo posted a photo arm-in-arm with his dad on a boat to celebrate the occasion, while Cruz shared three with his dad, including a photo from a fishing trip they took when he was little. Harper’s Instagram account is private.

Brooklyn has not shared any Father’s Day messages on his account.

The latest snub comes as Page Six reports Brooklyn raked in US$1 million ($1.4 million) for the DoorDash advert he recently featured in, which poked fun at the Beckham family feud that has been dominating headlines for months.

In the advert, Brooklyn was seen giving away tickets to the World Cup to a delivery driver.

“You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home. It’s not like I don’t have tickets,” he said in a thinly veiled swipe at the drama.

“Um, it’s because... it’s a long story. These can go to someone else. Hey, put them somewhere fun,” he added, putting the tickets in a bag with a delivery driver.

He captioned his post: “Asked @doordash to go drop my FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets for you guys... happy hunting Follow @doordash’s account to see clues for where you can find them xx.”

Followers criticised Brooklyn for “cashing in” on his family feud while his sister, grandparents and parents are reportedly “inconsolable” about the drift.

“Nothing funny about this… absolutely nothing,” one Instagram user wrote.

“Bad taste!!!!! That’s dry,” another quipped.

But another had his back, writing: “Good on ya mate, don’t know you but stand up for what you think is right for you 🤟.”

The ad came as his sister Harper Beckham, was snapped hand-delivering a letter to his house in Los Angeles, while Brooklyn wasn’t home.

“That photographers were in place as the letter was hand-delivered says it all – this was choreographed for the cameras,” a representative for Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham said in a statement to press.

Brooklyn was said to be in New York during the visit.

The eldest Beckham child previously shocked the world by dropping a bombshell statement against his parents, saying they had mistreated him and his wife.

Brooklyn asserted that he does “not want to reconcile with [his] family” in the statement.

“I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life,” he wrote, with the statement being posted on Instagram earlier this year.

In one part, Brooklyn claimed that at his wedding, Victoria “hijacked” his first dance with Nicola and claimed his mother “danced very inappropriately on me”.
