Cody Simpson unfollows ex Miley Cyrus on Instagram following their split

Cody Simpson appears to be cutting ties with his ex Miley Cyrus.

Simpson, 23, who split from Cyrus, 27, in August after 10 months of dating, is no longer following her on Instagram.

The revelation comes after Simpson was recently linked to Marloes Stevens, according to photos obtained by The Daily Mail.

On August 14, Cyrus discussed the breakup in an Instagram Live broadcast.

"Two halves can't make a whole and we're individually just working on ourselves to become the people that we wanna be, like everybody else at this age," Cyrus said.

The 'Slide Away' singer also suggested the pair would remain friends.

"We are just deciding who we wanna be in our lives, what we wanna do, and so don't make it some drama story if next week we're hanging out, getting pizza," Cyrus said in a recent Instagram Live broadcast.

"We've been friends for 10 years and we're going to continue to be friends, so just don't make it something that it is not."

Cyrus' relationship with Simpson sparked shortly after she broke up with ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.

"I love who I am so much right now that if any of those things hadn't had happened, I'm not sure that I would have been the same person," Cyrus revealed on the Call Her Daddy podcast.

The 'Malibu' singer, who met Hemsworth on the set of the film The Last Song, also likened the relationship's demise to feeling "like a death."

"I had a very public, very big breakup that was a 10-year span of a relationship," she said. "I tried not to get lost in the emotion … It's like a death when you lose a loved one, it's that deep."
