Chrissy Teigen's resurfaced controversial tweet about Lindsay Lohan 'inflicted so much pain', says actress' mum
The mother of Lindsay Lohan has spoken out about the pain Chrissy Teigen "inflicted" on her daughter following a "hurtful" tweet posted a decade ago.
Speaking to Page Six, Dina Lohan said Chrissy's tweet from 2011 upset her entire family, especially Lindsay who at the time had opened up about her struggles with self-harm.

"When someone says hurtful words they're not just hurting that person, they're hurting their siblings, their mother, their grandma," Dina said. "They're inflicting so much pain."
The January 2011 Twitter post Dina was referring to has since been deleted but in the message, Chrissy wrote: "Lindsay adds a few more slits to her wrists when she sees Emma Stone."

Chrissy's controversial tweet aimed at Lindsay resurfaced after the cookbook author was accused of bullying by model Courtney Stodden in a series of other Twitter posts.
"my Friday fantasy. you. dirt nap. mmmmmm baby," read one of Chrissy's tweets directed at Stodden, while another reading, "go. to sleep. Forever."
Courtney called out this bullying behaviour last month in an interview with The Daily Beast.
"She wouldn't just publicly tweet about wanting me to take 'a dirt nap' but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself," Stodden told the outlet. "Things like, 'I can't wait for you to die.'"

While Chrissy has yet to address her tweets about Lindsay, the wife of John Legend has issued an apology to Courtney via Twitter.
"I'm mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention seeking troll," Chrissy tweeted on May 13. "I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior but that is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel.
"I have tried to connect with Courtney privately but since I publicly fueled all this, I want to also publicly apologize. I'm so sorry, Courtney. I hope you can heal now knowing how deeply sorry I am."
