The sneaky way Chris Hemsworth boosted his daughter's height so she could ride a rollercoaster

Chris Hemsworth has revealed his sneaky hack for getting his daughter past the height-restriction rule on a Disneyland rollercoaster.

The 35-year-old actor and father-of-three was with his Avengers: Endgame co-stars Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr. and Paul Rudd on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! show on Monday when he shared the funny (and wild irresponsible) anecdote.

While discussing the rollercoaster ride -- which recently changed its name from The Twilight Zone - Tower of Terror to the Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout -- Hemsworth recalled how his daughter, India Rose, was too short for the ride.

"I took my daughter on it a couple of years ago when it was previously called the Tower of Terror or something," Hemsworth explained. "She was really upset and I was like nah, forget this. Come here."

Hemsworth then grabbed two Snickers bars and "slammed it in the back of her shoe under the heel" in order to give the now six-year-old a boost to meet the 3'9" height requirement.

"I walked up [to the Disneyland staff], was like, 'What about now?' And they're like, 'OK, in you come,'" he said, as the Jimmy Kimmel Live! audience clapped.

"It's wildly irresponsible as well, and you're all cheering," joked Johansson.

Hemsworth then recalled the moment he realised he'd probably made a mistake in trying to cheat the system.

"So, we're sitting in the chair... We're at the top and I'm looking at her and she's strapped in and the seat is massive on her," he said, before explaining that as the ride dropped, India Rose began to rise out of her seat. "I was like maybe there's a reason there's a height sign."

"Maybe?!" shouted Downey Jr. in shock and disbelief.

"So, don't do that," Hemsworth said. "She's fine, she's well. I'm her hero."

Avengers: Endgame hits Australian cinemas on April 24.
