Channing Tatum confesses he avoided doing laundry for a year

Channing Tatum has made a hilarious confession about his laundry habits, or lack thereof. 

The actor spoke with GQ as part of a 10 Things Channing Tatum Can't Live Without video when he revealed he takes procrastinating this task to an unprecedented level. 

"I hate doing laundry. Like, I hate it more than I can possibly say," Tatum, 44, revealed.

"I had one year that I called 'The Year of the Fresh White T,' and I don't think I did laundry all year that year. I just wore white T-shirts that I just bought.

"I'd [look at a shirt and] be like, 'I can get like two wears out of this a week. This is gonna be good'.

"The year of the fresh white T, '99 or 2000. It's a beautiful year."

The Blink Twice star didn't say he was purchasing other clothing items instead of washing them. 

Tatum also confessed to GQ in 2022 that a large part of his love for white T-shirts was rooted in his lack of personal style. 

The actor shared that he struggled to strike a balance between "the year of the fresh white tee" in his younger years and wearing pink cardigans. 

Tatum also added that his 21 Jump Street co-star, Jonah Hill, played a part in developing his sense of style: "Jonah, you basically don't let me look like a fool."

"That's what's beautiful about having friends like you. Somebody can tell you a perspective that you can't fully have on yourself," he said. 

"You told me to never wear boots, but I understand what you meant by that now. No boots for me. Boots on you are OK. And I'm glad you cleared that up, because I did feel for a second very betrayed when you went on national TV with boots on."

Hill shared why he felt boots were the wrong look for Tatum: "I think they read a little Mumford and Sons on you and then for me, I need a little more like, butching up sometimes.

"I do feel like I did play a good part in this style evolution and [that]s something I'm very proud of personally, that I didn't do for the glory. 

Hill concluded: "I did it out of love and excitement to see you look so rad. And then, when I saw you on the bike with the vintage T-shirt and the Dickies I was like, 'How incredible does this guy look?'"
