World Selfie Day: The most iconic and memorable celebrity selfies of all time

Chris Evans accidentally leaked a nude selfie on Twitter in 2020, to his 5.7 million followers.
The Captain America star uploaded a video to his Twitter page while playing the popular game Heads Up. But he clearly didn't double check the video before sharing it, or he would have realised the end of the clip shows his phone's photo gallery, which included a pic of an erect penis.
Also in the gallery was a meme photo of his face with the caption "guard that p*ssy".
Though he quickly deleted the pic, fans had already captured screenshots of the gaffe, which were shared around social media.
The Oscars selfie
This, by far, has to be the most memorable and iconic selfie of all time. Host Ellen DeGeneres descended from the stage at the 2014 ceremony to snap a selfie with as many stars as she could.
So many famous faces fitted themselves into the frame – and in the almost 10 years since, a lot has changed.
Kevin Spacey, for example, has very publicly fallen from grace after a series of allegations of sexual assault, which resulted in charges, emerged in 2017. He has denied all claims against him, including the ones made after 2017.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, meanwhile, split two years after the selfie was taken, with the former couple still embroiled in a bitter divorce following allegations of abuse made against Pitt by Jolie.
DeGeneres herself was also cancelled in 2020 following allegations of poor behaviour behind the scenes of her daytime talk show, which officially ended in 2022.
