Disney Channel star Carla Jeffery dies aged 33

Carla Jeffery, best known for playing Bree in Disney Channel’s hit Zombies franchise, has died aged 33.
The actress, who starred in several Disney and Nickelodeon series, passed away on September 1, 2026, her management confirmed. A cause of death has not been revealed.

Jeffery’s management, Alexanders Talent, shared an official statement to Instagram on Thursday.
“Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of our beloved Carla Jeffery,” the statement read.
“For more than 20 years, Carla was part of the Alexanders Talent Management family, and watching her grow from a talented young girl into the beautiful, vibrant woman and actress she became was an incredible privilege.

“We will remember her infectious smile, her laughter, her talent, and the beautiful light she carried everywhere she went,” the statement continued.
“Our deepest love and condolences are with Carla’s family and loved ones. We ask that their privacy be respected during this incredibly difficult time.
“Rest beautifully, Carla. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.”
A representative for Jeffery on her official Instagram page wrote: “May be gone from this world but not from our hearts. Rest in Peace Carla J. Jeffery”.
Co-stars remembered Jeffery as “the brightest shining light” as tributes flowed in for the actress.

“Oh Carla. I hate this. You’re heart and soul is one of one. Rest beautiful girl,” wrote Disney’s Descendant’s star Ruby Rose Turner.
“I’m in shock. What a beautiful soul. I’m so heartbroken. Rest in peace beautiful,” commented Disney star turned Emmy nominee Jadah Marie.
While Zombies co-star and Elle actress Chandler Kinney wrote: “The brightest shining light in any room she walked into. the kindest person you’d ever meet. the most beautiful soul. this doesn’t feel real…...”
Remembered for her guest roles in hit series iCarly, Good Luck Charlie, and Shake It Up alongside Zendaya, Jeffery will be most remembered for her role in Zombies.

The actress starred as bubbly best friend and cheerleader Bree in the first three Zombies movies.
She reprised her role to voice animated spin-off series Zombies: The Re-Animated Series.
