Shane Warne's daughter thanks fans with family photo in front of cricketer's MCG statue

Shane Warne's eldest daughter, Brooke Warne, has shared a message of thanks to fans of her dad.

The late Australian cricket great died earlier this month of a suspected heart attack in Thailand, aged 52.

In the aftermath of the shock news a shrine emerged around Warne's statue outside the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), with fans leaving flowers, notes and even big signs to show their love of the cricketer.

Simone also shared the image on her Instagram page, saying: "Thank you for all the beautiful messages of love and support. Vale Shane"

Jackson shared a solo shot of himself next to the shrine, while Summer shared the shot to her Instagram Story, saying: "Always here with us dad".

The family will farewell the bowler-turned-commentator in a private ceremony later this week, ahead of a state funeral to be held at the MCG on March 30.

Following Warne's death, the Victorian Government announced the cricket ground will rename the Great Southern Stand to the SK Warne Stand, in his honour.

Jackson recently shared a video tribute of happy family moments on social media.
