Aussie radio star Brittany Hockley reveals the wedding tradition she doesn't 'believe in'

Just a few weeks after marrying Ben Siegrist, Aussie radio star Brittany Hockley has revealed their rather controversial move the night prior.

Hockley, 37, tied the knot with Siegrist, 33, in a stunning Bali ceremony surrounded by friends and family who had made the journey to celebrate the couple.

While tradition is to spend the night before the wedding apart, Hockley has revealed she and the Swiss goalkeeper decided to do things a little differently.

"I personally don't believe in spending the night before your wedding apart," Hockley began in the caption of a recent Instagram post.

"We spend most of the year apart so there was no way we were letting each other out of our sight!

"Ben and I stayed together and woke up and had the slowest morning and it just made such a difference spending it together."

The former The Bachelor Australia contestant shared a video of the couple enjoying their evening, watching the site for their wedding being put together overnight.

She said they enjoyed breakfast and went for a swim together the morning of the nuptials, describing it all as a "magic" moment.

"There was something amazing about being able to spend every second together and be on your balcony watching your dream wedding come to life in front of your eyes," she continued.

"Talking about our love story, feeling each others excitement and experiencing every part of the wedding together. I just can't recommend it enough.

"The day already goes by too fast so spend as much time together as possible."

Hockley and Siegrist announced their engagement on social media roughly a year before they tied the knot on June 5, 2025.

"In any lifetime it's a YES! Just two people loving each other for the rest of our lives," she wrote on Instagram, showing off her gorgeous sparkly engagement ring.

Hockley announced her relationship with the Swiss goalkeeper in January 2023.

But the pair had originally met in November 2022 after matching on the celebrity dating app Raya whilst Siegrist was in Sydney for his football team's match against Sydney FC.
