Britney Spears hits back at reports after dangerous freeway stunt: ‘Nothing is what it seems’

Britney Spears has dismissed concerns after she was spotted standing through the sunroof of a car while it drove along a Los Angeles freeway.
The Toxic singer, 44, was seen standing above the traffic as the black SUV she was in travelled through traffic on the busy road.

At one point, Spears stretched out her arms and threw her head back as she looked up at the sky.
The Daily Mail reported witnesses said Spears remained standing through the sunroof for about two minutes.
While fans expressed concern over the incident, Spears did not appear fazed as she defended herself.
“What people see is two seconds of insanity of me arching me to the lords! Yet the days and hours of my reality! Nothing is what it seems,” Spears wrote on Instagram, sharing a photo captured of herself in the moment.
“Psss I think I need to come out of the roof quite a bit more.”
It comes months after Spears was charged with driving under the influence in March.
She pleaded guilty to a reduced reckless driving charge in May and avoided jail time, but was sentenced to 12 months’ probation, fined and ordered to take alcohol education classes.
Soon after, her representative hit back at further headlines claiming she behaved erratically during a dinner outing where she was reportedly seen “barking” and wielding a knife.
In a statement released to People, the spokesperson denied these claims, saying the events of that evening had been “completely blown out of proportion”.

The rep stated that while at dinner with her assistant and bodyguard, Spears had simply “told a story about how her dog was barking at neighbours”, and that it had been taken out of context.
“At no point did she put anyone in danger with a knife. She was cutting her hamburger in half,” the rep clarified.
“This [is a] constant attack on everything that she does and this is exactly what happened 20 years ago when the media tried to depict Britney as a bad person.”
The rep went on to say that the discourse surrounding Spears was “ridiculous, and it needs to stop now”.
