Brian Austin Green requests joint custody of his three sons with ex Megan Fox

Brian Austin Green has requested joint legal and physical custody of his sons amid his divorce from Megan Fox.

The Beverly Hills 90210 actor, 47, filed for divorce a day before Thanksgiving, according to documents obtained by People.

The Blast reported that Fox, 34, also filed for divorce a day before the holiday.

The former couple share sons Noah Shannon, eight, Bodhi Ransom, six, and Journey River, four. Green cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce and cited March 5 as the date of separation.

The couple got married in 2010 and announced news of their split in May this year. Fox has since moved on with rapper Machine Gun Kelly.

Shortly after, Green opened up about his feelings towards the dissolution of their marriage.

"It sucks when life changes and something that you're used to, that you've been doing for 15 years, you try and not get rid of but you change," Green said during a With Brian Austin Green podcast episode in May. "There's the unknown aspect… there's that pit in my stomach … I really don't want Megan and I to be at odds … she's been my best friend for 15 years and I don't want to lose that.

"I will always love her. And I know she will always love me and I know as far as a family what we have built is really cool and really special."
