Chrissy Teigen's deal with Bloomingdales dropped following Courtney Stodden scandal

Chrissy Teigen has lost her deal with Bloomingdale's following accusations of cyberbullying against model Courtney Stodden.

Teigen was reportedly hours away from signing a contract with the retailer, but the partnership was dropped due to her resurfaced Twitter messages, Page Six reports.

"They pretty much had it together … but had to cancel it," an insider at department store told the outlet.

Teigen's cookware line has also been removed from Target stores in the US amid the controversy.

Earlier in the week, the Daily Beast published an interview with Stodden, who faced media criticism and public abuse for marrying 51-year-old Doug Hutchison in 2011. Stodden was 16 years old at the time.

The 26-year-old model alleged Teigen cyberbullied them both publicly via Twitter and in private DMs.

"She wouldn't just publicly tweet about wanting me to take 'a dirt nap' but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself," Stodden said. "Things like, 'I can't wait for you to die.'"

On May 16, Teigen responded with a public apology in a series of tweets.

"Not a lot of people are lucky enough to be held accountable for all their past bulls–t in front of the entire world," she said. "I'm mortified and sad at who I used to be. I was an insecure, attention-seeking troll. I am ashamed and completely embarrassed at my behavior but that… is nothing compared to how I made Courtney feel."
