Bec Hewitt's daughter, Ava, is following in her mother's acting footsteps and has more than 7,000 Instagram followers

Bec and Lleyton Hewitt's daughter, Ava Sydney Hewitt, is pursuing a career in acting!

Earlier this month, the nine-year-old featured in this year's Target winter TV commercial.

According to TV Week, Bec has been guiding and supporting Ava through her dancing, modelling and acting auditions.

Ava took to Instagram to announce the Target campaign, sharing a clip from the national advertisement to her 7,000+ followers.

"Had the best time filming this TVC for @targetaus How gorgeous is the Kelpie?!" she captioned the video.

In the ad, Ava is seen wearing the brand's latest 'Wintersense' range, modelling a grey knitted dress, pink scarf and beanie and a fur vest while running through fields with an Australian Kelpie.

Friends and fans were quick to congratulate the youngest Hewitt on her latest TV gig.

"This is so cool Ava!! You look gorgeous 💕💕," one user wrote.

"Super proud of you 💗," another added.

Ava's mum Bec was only five years old when she began acting for television commercials. She then began her breakout role as Hayley Smith on Home And Away at the age of 15. Bec later quit her career in entertainment after becoming a mother, but briefly returned to television in 2018 to host Nine Network's travel show Hello World.

Ava has previously appeared in a Wonder Smooth Wholegrain bread commercial with her siblings, Mia, 14, and Cruz, 11. The Target commercial is Ava's first solo appearance.

In 2016, Bec took daughters Ava and Mia to a children's model casting and fitting for the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival. Later that year, Bec and Ava featured as the Christmas ambassadors for Barbie.

The Hewitt family currently reside in their $12.7 million mansion,
