The residency was originally scheduled to take place between January - April 2022 but those shows were cancelled at the 11th hour by a teary Adele.

In a clip posted to social media, she admitted that COVID-19 had impacted preparations for the shows and she had made the difficult decision to reschedule the whole series.

The singer, who is mum to son Angelo, 12, has also spoken publicly about wanting to have more children with her new husband, American sports agent Rich Paul.

"It is my stepdaughter's graduation this weekend. Her name is Reonna," the singer told the audience.

"So I love you, darling. Congratulations. She's the first family member who has graduated college, how amazing is that? It's a f---ing vibe!"

She added: "So they're all in Atlanta, and they're celebrating her. And obviously I'm here with you – wouldn't be anywhere else – but I love you, baby. I love you!"

The couple, who began dating in 2021, sparked engagement rumours in early 2022 and confirmed the pair had wed in November 2023.
