Cat in slow motion are strangely mesmerising

There's a reason why they are the poster animals of the internet. Cats are fascinating creatures who endlessly amuse us with their weird antics and IDGAF attitudes.

Unlike dogs, they don't seek human approval and this opens the door to a wide range of cat behaviours we love to like, comment, share and LOL at.

Video director and producer Carli Davidson shares this cat obsession and has dedicated a video and book to the felines she so adores.

"Bask in their derp-tastic expressions while they roar (actually just a meow), shake (from an ear cleaning, or just from rubbing their ears) and lick (cream cheese, anyone?) their way into internet glory," says the video's YouTube description.

Davidson a portion of advance proceeds from the book, called Shake Cats, will go to animal charities.
